A bathroom, sauna, toilet, kitchen, dining area, living area, open fireplace, two children’s rooms and a bedroom seem at first glance to be normal requirements for a family apartment of four; not when you only have 58 m2 at your disposal and the “low budget” is required. The bright idea came from my father Wolfgang, who created a Z-bed for his grandchildren. Isabel and Tobias did not want to share the room, and made our design even more difficult. The Z-bed gave them both their own realm.
