The building evolves from the stratified lines that define the site in its hillside location. Our design approach attempts to incorporate the predetermined parameters of the environment and be a “situational amplifier” of the natural features.
The theme of horizontal layering and earth intersections runs throughout the design.
The building itself is constructed in two volumes with the connecting link of the three-story hall. The two structures are bent in themselves, as well as rotated from the axis in its three-dimensionality (height development). The building sees itself as a three-dimensional layered line; the cladding is made in scaled max panels to reinforce the horizontality.
We are interested in the particular in each room, even if they are characterized by repetition. The externally twisting envelope creates different spatial situations in the rooms. Open and closed balconies are created, which “slip” into the envelope or also turn outward.
