A stay in a hotel is a short-term break in a person’s rhythm. The expectations of “the” hotel are almost similar to our expectations of our apartment/house/dwelling.
In our design we try to stage the hotel stay – the guest himself is the main actor. One/woman checks in, an animation in the lobby reacts to the traveler. (All animations in the lobby are provided by the AEC). Each floor/room has its own special features. The floors are dedicated to various Linz art institutions, also to present the city of Linz in view of the Capital of Culture 2009.We blur the contours, dissolve the differences between a hotel stay and the feeling of being at home. Thought out down to the smallest detail, the rooms are an interplay of art and culture and offer visitors a personal refuge. Each room is a world of its own and breathes the spirit of our city.
